IMU CET Exam Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is a National Level examination for aspiring candidates to pursue BE/B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science, Diploma in Nautical Science. Here is a detailed overview of the IMU CET exam eligibility criteria:

1. Nationality

Candidates must be Indian citizens. Foreign nationals, NRIs, and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible to apply under specific guidelines and quotas.

2. Age Limit

For undergraduate programs, candidates must be at least 17 years old and not more than 25 years old as on August 1st of the year of admission. An age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST candidates.

3. Educational Qualifications

Educational Qualifications for BE/B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science, DNS :

(a) Pass in 12th Standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60%.

(b) The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in English language in 10th or 12th standard exam (As per DGS Norms). Candidates awaiting for 12th results can also apply.
